Saline Fiddlers' 16th Annual Winter Hometown Show
7:00pm
Featuring guest artists The Quebe Sisters Band. Fronted by Texas champion fiddlers Grace, 22; Sophia, 20; and Hulda, 17 and including award-winning fiddler and guitarist Joey McKenzie with bass fiddle player Drew Phelps. "The band's hot cowboy jazz sounds like a cross between The Andrews Sisters and The Texas Playboys". The young group has shared the stage with Ricky Skaggs, Merle Haggard, Asleep at the Wheel, and Riders in the Sky. Recently named "Group of the Year" by the Academy of Western Artists, Recipient of the "Crescendo Award" by the Western Music Association, and nominated for "Country Group of the Year", this award-winning posse has played the Grand ole Opry, The Kennedy Center, and NYC's Lincoln Center.  They play a wide variety of blue grass and traditional music as well as the Texas swing, hot jazz, and standard swing.  Their current, well-received debut album, TIMELESS, highlights their show-stopping, signature vocal harmonies. The Saline Fiddlers, a 30-piece, semi-professional, touring fiddle band of students from Saline High School, will open the concert with a new lively, upbeat program of music, singing, and dance from the traditions of American folk fiddle, bluegrass, jazz, and Celtic music.
Tickets are $15 and $20, and on sale now at www.salinefiddlers.com or call 866 257-5333 ext. 1.
